Body Repatriation from UK to Zimbabwe
Bringing your loved one home to you
At DAR Funeral Repatriation, we understand how challenging this time can be, and we’re here to help you every step of the way. We offer complete, end-to-end repatriation to Zimbabwe, taking care of everything from the collection of the deceased to the provision of coffins and caskets. We partner closely with Coroners, government officials, and funeral directors in Zimbabwe to ensure your loved one is returned home seamlessly with dignity and respect.
Repatriation to Zimbabwe typically takes between 7 – 10 days, however, this can be delayed in certain situations, such as if a coroner is involved. Once in our care, we will care for the deceased, complete embalming (acquire certificate for travelling), and prepare the coffin in line with international repatriation standards.
Documents Required for Body Repatriation to Zimbabwe
There is paperwork needed before repatriation can take place. Some of these we require you to provide to us; the remainder will be applied for by us.
We will need you to provide the passport of the deceased, 2 death certificates, and the DAR Funeral Repatriation Authorisation Form.
We will obtain the Out of England Certificate, Freedom from Infection Certificate, Embalming Certificate, Funeral Directors Declaration Certificate, Air Waybill document from the airline, and a Health Permit.
We are able to repatriate to major international airports in Zimbabwe, including Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport in Bulawayo, and can arrange further transportation within Zimbabwe to any location if required.
